Cape Town to brace for six days of rain
After a historic drought that struck the Mother City some couple of months back, the city has been graced with six days of rain. The showers that hit the city have moved dam levels up to 31, 8%, a massive 2% increase from the previous week. The residents must now brace up for the much-needed rain in the upcoming six days.
The rains will trigger a stony cold weather which will last up until Friday. Capetonians will experience remarkably heavy rains. They can expect to get volumes of up to 50mm in a short period of time.
Unlike the rains that were received over the last weekend, the rainstorms ahead are forecast to soak the whole of the Western shore. Only the Garden Route and Overberg areas are expected to miss out on the downpour. Capetonians will have to brave the intensity of heavy rains and blue weather projected from Thursday to Friday. This is the price for the gift of +50mm of rain in one weekend.
