Arsenal FC were victors in a breath-taking encounter against their north London rivals Tottenham Hotspurs. Pierre-Emerick Aubamayeng’s brace and goals from Lacazette and Lucas Torreira were enough to set the Emirates stadium ablaze on Sunday.
The Gunners ventured into this encounter as underdogs. But Unai Emery’s second-half substitution and tactical approach to the game silenced any critics. Arsenal FC fought very hard as they went behind after Eriksen’s free-kick was nodded home by Eric Dier thereafter Harry Kane converted a penalty to give Spurs a halftime lead.
A Different Arsenal FC
The match against Spurs cannot be the only match that can sum up the Gunners’ empathic performance under a new coach. Definitely, there is something different about Arsenal FC this season, the passion from the players is absolutely admirable. The home fans remained optimistic even when the team was under-performing. Kane put Spurs in the driving seat but the atmosphere at the Emirates Stadium remained vibrant.
Emery has been very good and his decisions tend to be fruitful. The introduction of Lacazette and Ramsey at halftime produced something the Emirates hasn’t witnessed in a long time. The clinical passing of Aaron Ramsey found the top Arsenal FC strikers scoring deciding goals. Aubameyang produced a sublime strike that beat Hugo Lloris.
The goals from Aubameyang and Lacazette were good enough to seal the victory for the hosts. But the Uruguayan midfielder thought otherwise. Lucas Torreira tightly sealed the win with a close-range strike to make it four goals to the good.
The momentum has tremendously swung at the Emirates, compared to other matches in the past years. The way the Gunners are playing under Unai Emery is more than playing for real money. They are playing with all their hearts and soul. The Gunners are definitely on fire and we are looking forward to more of that kind of performances.
